Brugge is in second place after 7 rounds with 17 points, four behind leaders Standard Liege. In the last stage, Brugge defeated, at home, 4-1 on Lierse, two goals were scored by De Sutter. It was the perfect debut on the bench Preud’homme hosts. The real test for the coach at the age of 54 years but will come Sunday. As we talked about earlier De Sutter it should be noted that the Belgian striker this summer came right at Anderlecht, where he spent five seasons. This match will be, therefore, a special one for him.

Anderlecht occupies 4th place in the Jupiler League, with 15 points, two behind Sunday’s opponent. In the last round, the team from the capital of Belgium destroyed it in Mechelen with 5-0. The movement, however, things are not too good for the band who won 32 titles, both losing in the championship and in the Champions League.

This is the 75th time that Club Brugge gets visit from Anderlecht. So far, the hosts have won 34 times, 25 matches ended in a draw, winning 15 times guests. Last season, Brugge won 2-1, then the band led by Juan Garrido received a red card in the last minute of the game. Two seasons ago they shared two points on Jan Breydelstadion 2-2 guests then cashed a red card in the last minute of the game. It gives a sign that nerves in the last minute.

Serge Gumienny will be the referee of this match. He was at the center and at the last meeting between Club Brugge and Anderlecht, when the hosts won 2-1. Centralia may be too scrupulous about the cards, showing no less than six red cards in the last 9 games. How Cercle Brugge Belgian championship-Anderlecht is derby, it would not be ruled out that even here to have at least part of elimination.
